Toby's Bespoke Wood is me - Toby Webb-Purkis, a part time woodworker originally from Devon, now living in Surrey with my fabulous wife Sue and wonderful daughter Tamsin.
I started woodworking for a hobby in 2019 as a way of engaging my creative and practical sides while at the same time being great for my mental health.   This became even more important during the Covid lockdowns of 2020 and I found that I absolutely loved the process - the planning, the detail, precision, technique and execution.
I find real joy in all aspects of woodwork - traditional joinery techniques of dovetail boxes, cabinets etc, practical applications like workshop furniture and shelving, as well as epoxy resin projects like tables and chopping boards.
I love designing my own projects and taking them through to completion but even better is the process of bespoke design.  No better feeling than working directly with a client on every aspect of design, shape, colour, function and purpose to ensure that the final product perfectly meets the requirement.
If you like what you see and fancy something similar or have your own ideas for something fabulous then let me know and we can work together to turn your wildest dreams into something glorious.
